The title pokes fun at Sarah's habit of mis-spelling and mispronouncing of some words... of course she's doing it to be funny.
Basically, this is to be the pilot for Sarah's series. Sarah is an eager young Toon looking to be able to make it in the cartoon business. But her over-the-top nature causes her to blow a simple gag out of proportion and gets her subsequently fired. This would be the third studio in a row she's been fired from, and she drowns her misery in... soda pop.
Casey, an old Toon (and a cookie) is a friend of Sarah and had been pulling strings to get her into the business with as little difficulty as possible... After hearing about her termination, Casey searches for her to offer up one final chance at making it...
For cartoon characters like her, making people laugh and being memorable are essential for survival, because when a Toon is created, they can either stay in their animated world exclusively and live for a set amount of time before fading away... or they can try to make it in the real world, where the more people remember them and laugh at their antics, the longer they'll live, but they have to keep at it because their lifespan in the real world is cut dramatically short.
In essence, the premise is a comment on getting ideas out of one's head into the real world, and if those ideas fail to stick, or are forgotten, then they are lost. Cartoons must also work hard to stay fresh, or they grow tired and people soon forget about them. And when you forget a cartoon, it becomes dead to you. When people aren't watching them anymore, of course they end up being cancelled. No more new stuff, it's all archives from there.
Now Sarah knows her existence is in danger, and loses hope of ever really getting into the business, but what really get sher down is that she actually likes making people laugh, not just because her life depends on it. And knowing she won't be able to make enough people laugh makes her one very depressed series of drawings.
First thing that peeks my observation here is the counter relfection. Its nice. 'Remember you telling me soooo much about piecing this planed story thing for Sarah together. On alot of accounts too. So its brought me to become quite excited to see it or the ideas put into more motion too. :3
And this cover is just simply gorgeous. As in 'simple', clean and gorgeous in all.' It even has some glow to some of the colors. Wich I also like. Not to mention the title is spiffy! * giggles* =3
The Reflection on the counter top is absolutely amazing o___o.. Seriously wondering how you did that.. And out of all the programs in Flash 8! I can safely assume this must've taken quite a lot of time? >3>... You did a really nice job with the lighting in general, I like how you made it seem to an effect of a bloom as if the it kind of glows. Very cartoony, but thats the point I guess xD
